I also checked out the independent movie, "The Dead" by the Ford brothers. This was beautifully shot on location in Africa. The zombie sin this film are terrifying: none of that overacting you get from 70s zombies. These guys are almost somnambulistic, but when they get hold of you, watch out! They are also very sneaky and have a ghost-like quality. They are literally everywhere - often seen in the distance, a remorseless presence eating away at the characters' chances of survival as relentlessly as time (and all the other pitfalls of existence).
