Interview with Tawny Weber, CALL TO HONOR

What are four things you can’t live without?
            Iced Tea
            IPad Pro (with internet <g>)
            Books
            Chocolate

What is your favorite television show?
Friends is my all time favorite.  I re-watch the boxed set all the time.

If you could be any character, from any literary work, who would you choose to be? Why?
I’d be Iona Sheehan from Nora Roberts’ Dark Witch.  She has the magick and she takes so much joy in it. Added to that, she’s an optimist, which I’d love to be, and has a fabulous connection with horses.

What have you got coming soon for us to look out for?
I’m so excited about the releases I have out this year!  My Team Poseidon books will all be hitting the shelves in 2017.  CALL TO HONOR was out in February and will be followed by CALL TO ENGAGE in July and CALL TO REDEMPTION in November.   These books have been so wonderful to write. To be able to dive in as deep as I did, to explore topics like betrayal, PTSD, kidnapping and more, has been incredible.  I’m hoping readers enjoy them as much as I have.   I also have a June release with Blaze, and its not only my final Blaze book, but is out in the final month that Blaze will be published. I’ve written for this line for a decade, and saying goodbye is going to be heart wrenching.  But this final story, ONE NIGHT WITH A SEAL, is a great goodbye, not only because I had so much fun with the story, but because it’s a 2-in-1 with my BFF and fellow author, Beth Andrews.

What books or authors have most influenced your own writing?
Nora Roberts has been the biggest influence, in that in my opinion, she’s the best.  I love her books, I love her themes and I love her characters and writing style.  My wish is to be able to bring to readers the same sense of focus and satisfaction with my stories that she has given me with hers.
Beyond Nora’s books, Vicki Lewis Thompson and Lori Foster have had a great influence because they write such fabulous, sexy stories that always make me want to be a better writer.  Beth Andrews, as well, because she creates layers upon layers in her books that makes me think “man, I wish I could do that.”

BLURB:

“No man left behind” is inscribed in the DNA of every SEAL and Lieutenant Diego Torres is no exception. But with a team member killed—and the body missing— Diego’s honor is sorely tested. Now his career and reputation are on the line, and a traitor is hiding among them. Diego wants answers...and only one woman has them.

Single mom Harper Maclean has two priorities—raising her son Nathan and starting a new life. Her mysterious new neighbor may be impossibly charming, but Diego asks too many questions about her past—and about the father of her child. Questions she fears will reveal her burning attraction for Diego, and ultimately put them all in danger’s path.
