Hold onto your hats because
Ms. Atkinson just upped the ante on The Sword of Truth. In the first book we
meet Skye Shadow and the citizens of New Denver and it was a "hold onto
the seat of your pants" introduction to this dystopian society. Having
beaten back the villain Hunter Wolfe in their first skirmish, Skye, Lance, Gal
and Marlin soon discover that Hunter is not just out for revenge, but nothing
short of complete alienation of Skye and New Denver will do.
I've always loved Ms.
Atkinson's books and this new series is nothing short of intense, cringeworthy
and absolutely terrific--a master storyteller. Her descriptions come alive on
the page and draws the reader into this harsh world. While this book ends of a
cliffhanger, it won't be too much longer until book 3 is available. I
personally can't wait!!
