#Review: KILL SHOT by Amber Malloy

  3 of 5 stars

This book started off with a bang, but it went downhill from there. I couldn't relate to either the hero or heroine and still don't know what either one looks like. Handsome and gorgeous doesn't set an image in my mind so it was hard to care about either of them.  The main plot revolved around the mystery of who killed Ashe's partner and who wanted to kill her and that kept me reading to the end. Unfortunately, getting to the end was a bit of a slog through multiple graphic sex scenes and endless posts about a neighbor at Walker's Cape house where he stashes Ashe for her own safety. Those Cape chapters were slow for me and interrupted the urgent quest to find out who was trying to kill Ashe. There were multiple secondary characters that did kept the book interesting, but in the end, this book was not one of my favorites.

I voluntarily read this book and all opinions are my own.
