I really don’t like writing
bad reviews, but sometimes it’s necessary. Unfortunately, this book broke so
many of the strict regency rules for a young lady, that I had to write a review
about it.
I'm not sure what other reviewers saw in this
book, but for me the characters were flat and one-dimensional. There were so
many bland descriptions instead of having the reader feel the emotions from the
characters POV. I stopped reading at the 50% mark when Richard takes Julianna's
dress off in the library at a masquerade ball. He proceeded to take off all her
underclothes as well. That was so ridiculous especially when the strict rules
of regency England would have a young woman ruined if she was caught just
kissing with a gentleman. I won't be reading any more from this author as this
book was such a disappointment.
