3 of 5 starsI'm a great fan of Ms. Galen and absolutely love her "Survivors" series. The latest installment, "Her Royal Payne" is unfortunately my least favorite of all the books though. I usually devour any of Ms. Galen's books in a day or two, but this one took me almost a week to finish. I did enjoy the main story line of Rowden and Modesty, but wasn't a fan of the secondary characters (Okoro and Madame Renauld) taking over so much of the book. I would have preferred more of the story to include Modesty and her half-siblings.
Ms. Galen is a talented story teller. The book is well-written and there are some twists and turns to surprise the reader. I'm looking forward to reading more of Ms. Galen's books.
