Little did he realize that the lovely Lucy Bertram would be such a distraction to the investigation. Will is investigating her father because of his expertise in poisons, but he's surprised to find that Lucy is also an expert in plant poisons. Can the shy beauty be an unwitting pawn in her father's scheme, or is there another villain Will has yet to uncover?
This was an enjoyable story, although the romance between Will and Lucy was more of an insta-love story. I would have liked the attraction phase to last a little longer before the passionate kissing. The plot moves along at a good pace, although I knew who the villain was early on. There were numerous twists and turns before Will and Lucy get their HEA.
