The Brotherhood of Assassin's creed says: No one ever leaves

The creed was a set of unwritten laws that bound the Brotherhood together. It concerned loyalty and dedication, concepts ingrained into every assassin’s soul. The creed dictated that the Brotherhood, above all else, came first. The one underlying and unbreakable rule of the creed was, once you entered the brotherhood, you never left ...

There can be no exceptions. The traitor must die.

Welcome to the Witch Stone Prophecy series page.

Book 1 blurb:

When elite assassin Jeda received his assignment to kill a witch and deliver her twin daughters to the Countess of Berkshire, he had no idea it would be his last. The witch stuns him with an elemental blast, but not before he's able to throw his knife. When Jeda regains consciousness, the dying witch is performing a compelling spell between him and her twin daughters.

Now bonded to the girls, Jeda's old life is forfeit. His only thought is to take the girls and run as far away as he can. He has no idea that the twins are the ones spoken of in the long-lost prophecy of The Witch Stone. Forces are gathering: the white witches want to teach them; the Countess wants her grandchildren back, and the guild has sent their best assassin to bring Jeda back, dead or alive.

Jeda must use all of his assassin skills to stay one step ahead of them all, but will it be enough to save himself and keep the children of prophecy alive?

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 stars - Fantasy epic, highly recommended!January 5, 2012

This is a really great book - it moves fast, but at the same time develops the characters to the point where you will really feel for them. Mave is a wonderful villain, in that I really, truly hated him and hoped he would come to a bad end. Jeda is a perfect anti-hero, and the girls Kala and Kara are so different from each other and unique - I was really impressed with how the authors developed them. The Black and White Covens created a wonderful contrast and I found it highly entertaining; the Assassin's Guild is just vague enough that you are drawn between unease over the assassinations, and interest that they would provide this sort of service for hire. Fans of epic fantasy or good, old-fashioned, high-quality storytelling will all love this book - highly recommended!!

Fantastic! by WestCoastBookLover

Every once in a while I find a book that draws me in so effectively that I don't want to put it down. Assassin's Curse is one of those books. Jeda is a great hero, even though he's forced into the role. The authors do a great job of transitioning him from cold-blooded killer into unwilling hero, and then finally a man who'll freely stop at nothing to protect his family.

There's more than one "villain" in this book. But Mave gets my vote for being the scariest. Literally. This guy is pure evil. I spent the entire book enthusiastically anticipating Jeda finally getting the best of Mave. I wasn't disappointed. There were a few twists in the book that I didn't see coming--which is always a plus. If you're a fan of fantasy, or just plain ol' good storytelling...grab this one. It's a keeper!

 Captivating Read, By Skypointe

This is an amazing book. I could hardly put it down once I started. The story is well-written and engaging, really pulling you into this world that David and Debra have created. All of the characters were fleshed out wonderfully. I felt like I knew them all as close friends rather than people I just read about. I would highly recommend this read to anyone who loves an exciting read. Great job!

Reviewers comments:

"The story takes the reader through twists and turns worthy of epic fantasy while managing to keep the reins of tension taut and the characters true. We get to see through the eyes of evil-doers and heroes alike, and that feature brings a freshness to the plot that I enjoyed. Even minor characters became favorites..."

"The writing is superb, the descriptions detailed without going overboard. Every city, every dimly lit tavern, and every snowy mountain pass was vivid in my mind. If you love epic fantasy, this IS the series for you..."

"Witch's Curse didn't disappoint! Loaded with drama, action, and plenty of twists and turns--not to mention a villain worthy to follow in the footsteps of Mave--this book kept me glued from the first page to the last!"

Book 3 blurb:

Even the power of the legendary Witch Stone may not be enough...

Jeda DeLongo has a bad feeling as he watches his twin daughters Kala and Kara, the infamous children of prophecy, crowned as the Duchess and Countess of Berkshire. The new king has declared war, and Jeda races to Eastford to rescue his gypsy family, but will he arrive in time, or has everyone already perished under the desert onslaught?

Arin, the self-proclaimed Prince of the Desert, has never forgiven the kingdom witch who murdered his father and sister and has vowed revenge. Now he’s done the impossible—united all the desert tribes under his banner. He launches his attack against Tavia with his secret weapon—a Black Coven witch who has learned how to harness the magic of the desert warriors. Reviewer Comments:

Stone’s Curse is an epic fantasy I couldn’t put down. From the very first page until I reached the end, I was caught up in the story. I connected with the characters, especially Jeda and his twin daughters. I also connected with the desert warriors. The world-building is second to none and truly makes Stone’s Curse an exceptional read. The authors work very hard to create this world and yet, it comes across effortlessly while reading. Even though this is pure fantasy, it felt totally believable.

The descriptive narration also makes Stone’s Curse an unputdownable read. Every nuance, every detail, every magical element is poignantly described. These authors are a brother-sister writing duo who are experts in writing unforgettable fantasy books. If you consider yourself a fantasy reader, you need to read this book. Highly recommend!

Much less frenetic pace than previous, good solid writing, entertaining and enjoyable.
