#Review: CITY OF LIGHT by Keri Arthur

  5 of 5 stars

This is the first book I've read by Ms. Arthur and I'm so glad I chose this one. The writing is superb, the characters come alive on the page and the world she creates fills me with terror. The story revolves around Tiger, a dechet humanoid super soldier created by humans during the last war. She is the last of her kind--all the others were destroyed by the victors of war--and lives a hermit existence to conceal her identity. The night she rescues a human child from vampires, her world is irrevocably changed.

The shifter Jonas was an intriguing character as the author teased bits about him throughout the book. I wanted to know more about him and why the sexual chemistry between him and Tiger, his mortal enemy, was so powerful. The book wrapped up a major storyline, but there are many questions left unanswered that hopefully will be answered in the next book. I'm definitely looking forward to reading that one to find out if Tiger can survive now that a shifter knows she still exists. Highly Recommended.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review.
