"The Last Faerie Queen" is an intriguing story of
Princess Elora as she tries to overthrow her tryant mother, Queen of the Dark
Faeries, but she can't do it alone. She enlists the help of the Bright Faerie
Queen and a motley crew of humans to help her. Nothing is as it appears and
Elora must use every weapon at her disposal to free the dark faeries from a
life of servitude.
I enjoyed this story and it wasn't necessary to read the
first book in the series to understand what had happened before. I found the love
story between Elora and the human boy Taylor believable and all-consuming. It
was their undying love for each other that made them strong. The twists and
turns in the story kept me turning pages and I was especially happy to see that
the book did not end on a cliffhanger. Fans of YA fiction will thoroughly enjoy this
story. Recommended.
